Plan to keep a journal throughout this program so you can write down your thoughts and ideas, and to track your progress. I will be providing many suggestions and I encourage you to write down the ones that feel right for you and make a plan to integrate them into your routines. The more your write down, the more you are likely to remember and to do. If you can keep up a new activity for 30 days, it will become a habit!

Let's start with some small steps in the 4 Keys to a Successful Journey to Wellness.

Nutrition - start a diet diary (either written or take photos on your phone), go through your cupboards, consider your shopping habits. Start to decrease your caffeine. Eat 3 meals a day. Include protein at each meal. Start to increase your veggies and your water.

Fitness - look at your current schedule and consider where you could fit in little bits of fitness. Choose an exercise routine to do every morning such as a walk around the block or Dawne's Simple Toning Workout. It's ok if it is only a few minutes, but start moving your body every morning. Then in the evening do something relaxing such as the Neck and Shoulder Relaxation on the foam roller.

Mindset - What would you like? from this program? for your health in general? be specific. How will you know that you've succeeded? What would having that do for you? Keep in mind that your body is your temple and you are worth taking care of. When you are healthier, you are better able to be there for others. It's ok to take little steps, that still counts as progress.

Sleep - Start tracking your sleep. Write down both the quantity (# of hours) and the quality (on a 1-5 scale). Create a bedtime routine that helps your body know when it is time to wind down. Try going to bed 15 minutes earlier each week for four weeks. After a month, these little steps will help you to get an extra hour every night!
